Is Apollo good for outbound?

Finding companies and contacts fast in markets with solid LinkedIn and company-profile coverage.

What Apollo is good for

Getting a campaign's first list moving quickly

Traditional B2B SaaS, tech and professional-services markets

Filtering by title, seniority, company size and industry

A single tool that also handles sequencing, not just the list

When we use Apollo

We reach for Apollo when a market is well-represented online — SaaS, agencies, tech-adjacent B2B — where title and company filters alone get you to a reasonable account list fast.

When we would not use Apollo

We don't rely on Apollo alone for fragmented or offline-first markets — local service businesses, agriculture, anything primarily discoverable through Google Maps or trade directories rather than LinkedIn. Coverage there is thin, and a clean-looking export can hide a list that's mostly the wrong accounts.

Best use cases

First-pass account and contact lists for SaaS, agency and tech markets
Quick enrichment on a list you already have
A combined list-plus-sequencing tool for a smaller, single-channel motion

Blinkins Take

Where Apollo works well, it's still one of the fastest ways to get a campaign moving. The mistake is treating Apollo coverage as if it were total market size.

For traditional B2B companies with a real LinkedIn presence, that's a reasonable assumption. For fragmented markets — local service businesses, agriculture, anything people find through Maps or directories rather than LinkedIn — we've had to build the account universe from other sources entirely, because Apollo simply doesn't have those accounts well-indexed.
